My 7-year-old nephew goes to English kindergarten from 9 AM to 3 PM, math academy until 6 PM, swimming until 7:30 PM, and violin until 9 PM. He has a tighter schedule than the CEO of Samsung.

Daechi-dong parents are terrifying. If a kid isn't doing calculus by age 9 they act like he is destined for manual labor.

And then at 25 they burn out and spend 3 years studying for the Level 9 civil servant exam while living in a 3-pyeong goshiwon room.
