Bought a house at the peak of the market because everyone said "renting is throwing money away". Now the roof leaks, my HVAC died, and I have zero savings. I miss renting so much.

My water heater literally exploded last month. Rented a water vac, tore up the drywall myself. I cried twice.
Insurance didn't cover it?
$5000 deductible bro.
Oh man. I am so sorry.
People glorify home ownership but never talk about the maintenance. A $500 mortgage isn't $500. It's $500 plus random $5k emergencies.
